HOW IT WORKS

Initial Assessment

We will review your medical history (bloodwork, medical test results and digestive investigations done), digestive history (frequency and types of symptoms), your lifestyle habits (stress, sleep, and activity), and detailed food & symptom journal (this will be sent to you after booking in). Following this in depth discussion, we will set specific digestion and health goals to determine the direction and tracking metrics for our plan.


Nutrition Plan

After the initial assessment, you will be provided with a comprehensive nutrition, supplement and lifestyle plan. We may also discuss additional bloodwork and/or medical testing (such as breath testing or further investigations) to help identify root cause of your symptoms and address any nutritional deficiencies.


Training Portal

You will receive access to the Gut Harmony Method program portal to provide you with actionable tips and resources to guide you to build sustainable habits in your digestive health journey.


Follow-Up Sessions

During our follow-up meetings, we will review your progress with plan goals and digestion, discuss any setbacks and make adjustments to your care plan as necessary. This includes review of food and symptom journal, bloodwork and any other relevant tracking measures. We will review progress on our nutrition goals, and build upon our initial strategies to continue to support your gut health and microbiome for the long-term. You will be provided with updated action steps and protocols as necessary following our check-in meetings to keep you moving forward. 


Recipes & Resources

The training portal contains workbooks, checklists, gut-friendly recipe e-books and low FODMAP menu plans to take all the guesswork out and give you the resources to inspire you to success.


Accountability & Support

Between sessions you’ll have private access to your dietitian for provide messaging support when you get stuck, as well as to keep you accountable on your progress. I also review your food & gut journal once a week for feedback to keep you on track.

In addition, there is a virtual office hour held weekly so you can drop in and get answers to your questions when you need them.

Guess what…. I’ve been there, too.

A few years ago, I experienced IBS symptoms (bloating, constipation, fatigue & pain) without a clear cause. I also had skin problems and a VERY irregular period.

For a long time, I felt I couldn’t do anything right as I was "eating healthy" and trying to follow advice from different nutritionists and "health gurus." I even tried juice cleanses, herbal detoxes, and restrictive diets. But my health left me frustrated, uncomfortable and losing faith in my body.

There was a lack of support and guidance from my healthcare team, I was told to try birth control, medications, pills, you name it… And silly me, I thought more food restrictions, “superfoods”, regular “cleanses” & taking more supplements is what I really needed.

Then I realized.. When it came to nutrition and health, I needed to let go of the fears and focus on nourishing, whole foods and ADDING diversity to my diet. I stopped listening to anything that was ‘pseudo-science’. 

Receiving degrees in nutrition, taking extensive courses and training, and learning from my own past mistakes, I began to find sustainable relief in IBS/digestive concerns, exercise performance and hormones. Then, I became a Registered Dietitian and began to work privately with clients to help them do the same.

What I wish I had early on in my health journey? An evidence-based plan and a SUPPORTIVE practitioner/coach that could get me relief earlier. I wish my healthcare practitioners would listen to my concerns. I want this for you too, so let’s get started!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
  • This program is highly personalized and in-depth. Although you have access to my online training portal to guide you through foundational changes in your IBS and gut-health journey, during our initial assessment, 1-1 follow-ups and in between messaging, we will dive deeper into your individual health history in order to develop specific goals and monitor measures of progress for you.

  • While we cannot guarantee results, clients typically see a 50-70% improvement in symptoms within the first 4-weeks of starting the program. As a dietitian and nutrition coach, I will ensure I do everything I can to ensure that you succeed and get the best success possible, by looking at all aspects of your health and implementing evidence-based strategies.​

    The goal is for you to feel 90-100% better by the end of the 6-months, and be able to SUSTAIN those improvements for the long-term.

  • I recommend allocating 30-minutes each week to review the training modules and supporting resources. Additional changes such as working on diet and lifestyle may take up time in your life, but they are also activities that will bring you health, boost your mood, improve your work/life productivity, and of course support your digestion!

  • The program is for 6-months and we will be in communication regularly via messaging support in your client portal, your private food and symptoms journal and regular follow-up meetings.

    If you aren’t ready for 6-months but still need support, I have a 3-months condensed coaching package available.

  • Yes, the program is exclusively online. We will have our appointments as video chat/online calls through a secure platform together. You also will gain access to a client portal where you can send me private messages and questions, log in your journal, upload health documents and will receive important task reminders from me.

    The program training portal with all of the training videos, additional resources and guides is in another course platform that is available on desktop or as an app so you can access your resources and the training videos whenever you need them!
